BYD hosted an intelligent technology strategy event on May 28, 2026.
The automaker unveiled the Xuanji A3, a self-developed 4-nanometer smart driving chip. This hardware currently supports mass production for L3 and L4 autonomous driving capabilities. BYD now maintains full-chain control over its assisted driving technology, spanning from chips to algorithms.
The company also launched the Song Ultra DM-i, an AI-powered plug-in hybrid SUV. This vehicle utilizes BYD’s fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. It features the God’s Eye advanced driver-assistance system.
BYD pledged to cover all costs for accidents occurring while its advanced driving system is active. This initiative supports the company's long-term goal of achieving zero traffic accidents.
