BYD officially launched its flagship Da Tang battery-powered SUV under the Dynasty brand in China. The company reported 150,000 pre-orders for the new model. This launch signals a strategic shift toward high-value market segments to counter domestic price competition.

The full-size SUV features BYD’s second-generation Blade batteries and a high-voltage architecture. The vehicle supports rapid flash-charging from 10% to 97% in under ten minutes. The entry-level rear-wheel-drive model costs CNY 239,900 (USD 35,450) with an 800 km range. The top-tier all-wheel-drive version is priced at CNY 309,900 (USD 45,750) with a 950 km range.

BYD also detailed technical specifications for the Dolphin G plug-in hybrid designed for Europe. The Dolphin G will utilize the company's latest DM-i powertrain technology. The European Union is currently considering additional tariffs on Chinese plug-in hybrids. These vehicles were previously exempt from the extra duties applied to battery-electric vehicles.
