Privacy Policy
OpenBell AI — a product of Infer LLC
Last updated: August 4, 2026
1. Introduction
OpenBell AI ("OpenBell," "we," "our," or "us") is a product of Infer LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the OpenBell AI mobile application and our website at https://app.infer.studio/.
By using OpenBell AI, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Anonymous User Identifiers
When you first use our mobile app, we generate a random unique identifier (UUID) to associate your preferences with your account. This identifier is not linked to your real name, email, or any other personal information unless you choose to provide it.
2.2 Information You Provide Voluntarily
- Email Address — Only if you opt in to receive newsletters or email notifications.
- Stock Watchlist — Ticker symbols you choose to follow (e.g., AAPL, TSLA).
- Notification Preferences — Your choices for news alerts, price movement alerts, and minimum importance thresholds.
2.3 Subscription Data
If you subscribe to a premium plan, your payment is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. We receive only:
- Subscription status (active, expired, cancelled)
- Subscription type (monthly or yearly)
- Expiration and renewal dates
Subscription verification is handled through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. See their privacy policy for details.
2.4 Automatically Collected Data
- Usage Activity — We record when your account was last active to maintain service quality.
- Google Analytics & Firebase — OpenBell AI uses Google Analytics for Firebase (including Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics) in our mobile app, and Google Analytics on our website, to collect anonymized usage and diagnostic information such as screen views, feature interactions, session duration, app version, device model, operating system version, approximate region (derived from IP, not stored), crash reports, and performance metrics. This data helps us understand how OpenBell AI is used, diagnose crashes, and improve the product. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google's Privacy Policy for details.
2.5 Optional Connected Brokerage Data
If you choose to connect a brokerage portfolio, the connection is provided by SnapTrade. Your brokerage sign-in and multi-factor authentication are handled in SnapTrade's secure connection portal; OpenBell AI does not receive your brokerage username or password.
To provide the connected portfolio feature, we process and cache the following read-only data that you authorize SnapTrade to share:
- Connection and account information — brokerage institution, account identifier, account name, connection and account status, whether an account is a paper account, and data-freshness information.
- Positions and cost information — instrument identifiers, ticker or raw symbol, security description and type, quantity or share count, current or snapshot price, average cost or cost basis, currency, exchange, market value, total cost, and calculated unrealized gain or loss.
- Balances and values — cash, buying power, account currency, and total account value.
- Synchronization and reconciliation information — refresh times, connection or holdings-update status, and limited webhook event metadata used to refresh a portfolio when SnapTrade reports that holdings changed or that a trade occurred.
We store an encrypted SnapTrade user secret so the server can refresh this data. OpenBell combines portfolio data with market quotes to estimate current values, daily changes, and unrealized gains or losses, and may ask you to review a quantity or average cost when source values appear inconsistent. OpenBell does not currently retain order-level details included in SnapTrade trade-detection webhook payloads.
Read-only access: OpenBell requests a read-only brokerage connection. OpenBell cannot place, modify, or cancel trades; withdraw or transfer funds; or move securities.
2.6 What We Do NOT Collect
- Real names
- Physical addresses
- Phone numbers
- Precise location data
- Contacts, photos, or other device data
- Brokerage usernames or passwords
3. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework requires apps to request your permission before "tracking" you across apps and websites owned by other companies, as defined by Apple.
OpenBell AI may present the ATT permission prompt on iOS. Your choice controls whether certain identifiers (such as the Identifier for Advertisers, IDFA) may be accessed by our analytics SDKs:
- If you choose "Ask App Not to Track" — OpenBell AI and our SDKs will not access the IDFA, and no data collected from the app will be linked with third-party data for advertising or measurement across other companies' apps and websites.
- If you choose "Allow" — We may, through Google Analytics for Firebase, collect the IDFA and limited device-level identifiers that could be used for cross-app measurement and audience insights, consistent with Apple's definition of tracking. We do not sell this data.
You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iOS device. Our analytics SDKs continue to collect anonymized usage and diagnostic data for app functionality and product improvement regardless of your ATT choice; only cross-app tracking identifiers are gated by your ATT decision.
Summary: OpenBell AI does not sell your personal information. We use analytics to improve the app. Any cross-app tracking identifiers (such as the IDFA) are accessed only with your explicit ATT consent.
4. How We Use Your Information
- Personalized Alerts — Delivering stock price movement alerts and news notifications based on your watchlist and preferences.
- Newsletters — Sending daily market summaries and news digests if you opted in with your email.

- Subscription Management — Verifying premium access and managing subscription lifecycle.
- Optional Portfolio Display — Displaying connected brokerage holdings and estimating current values, daily changes, and unrealized gains or losses.
- Portfolio Synchronization and Reconciliation — Refreshing holdings after account or trade-related events and identifying quantities or average costs that may need your review.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Financial Data We Process
OpenBell AI is an AI-powered financial news and analysis platform. We process the following publicly available financial data:
- Stock prices, market indices, and trading data from financial data providers
- SEC filings (8-K, 10-K, 10-Q) from public company disclosures
- Earnings reports, transcripts, and calendar data
- News articles and market analysis generated by AI from public sources
If you opt in to the connected portfolio feature, we also process the limited read-only brokerage data described in Section 2.5. This data is used to display, synchronize, and reconcile your portfolio and is not sent to AI content-generation providers.
6. AI-Generated Content
News articles, summaries, and market analysis in OpenBell AI are generated using artificial intelligence models including Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and Perplexity AI. These services process publicly available financial data and news — they do not receive or process your personal information.
7. Third-Party Services

- Major news for stocks on your watchlist
- Market events and earnings alerts
9. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Google Cloud Platform.
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

10. Data Retention
- User profiles and preferences — Retained as long as your account exists.
- Email address — Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Subscription data — Retained for the duration of your subscription plus a reasonable period for billing dispute resolution.
- Connected brokerage data — Cached account, holdings, balance, and connection records are retained while the brokerage connection exists and deleted when you disconnect it. The encrypted SnapTrade user secret is retained until your OpenBell account is deleted so you can reconnect, subject to SnapTrade's own legal retention obligations.
- SnapTrade webhook event metadata — Retained for up to 30 days for reliable synchronization, duplicate-event protection, and troubleshooting. Order-level details from trade-detection webhook payloads are removed before these event records are stored.
- Analytics data — Subject to Google Analytics and Firebase retention policies (default: 14 months for Google Analytics; configurable for Firebase).
11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
