Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) announced that Maria Cristina “Ginbee” Go, its head of consumer banking, will succeed Jose Teodoro “TG” Limcaoco as president and CEO on April 26, 2027. The advance notice is intended to ensure a smooth handover.
Go has been with BPI for 23 years and is credited with modernizing its consumer banking division. Limcaoco has led the bank since 2021. He will remain on BPI’s board and take on other senior roles within the Ayala Group.
BPI reported net income of P48.9 billion for the first nine months of 2026. That was down from P50.5 billion in the same period last year.
Total revenues rose 9.8% to P156.3 billion, driven by strong growth in consumer loans. Operating expenses increased 12.5%, reflecting investments in technology and personnel.
