Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) will construct a 100-acre container freight station (CFS) near Vizhinjam Port. The facility supports the launch of full-scale export-import (EXIM) operations on August 18.

This station enables the handling of less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments during future expansion phases. The port will initially manage only full-container-load cargo while EXIM operations stabilize.

The project advances Kerala’s Mission Samudra initiative to transform the state into a primary maritime hub. A dedicated railway line will also reach completion in approximately four years to enhance port logistics.
