Take-Two Interactive's upcoming title, Grand Theft Auto 6, is projected to generate between $3.25 billion and $5.2 billion in sales within its first week, potentially making it the largest entertainment launch in history. The forecast, from market intelligence firm Newzoo, is based on a record-setting preorder campaign.
In the first week preorders were available, the game generated an estimated $260 million globally. This strong early demand, more than five months ahead of its November release, signals unprecedented anticipation. Newzoo's central estimate projects launch week sales could reach $4.5 billion, equivalent to approximately 51 million units sold.
