TotalEnergies, SOCAR, and ADNOC signed a gas sales agreement with Turkey’s BOTAŞ during Baku Energy Week.
The 15-year contract secures natural gas from the second development phase of the Absheron field.
Deliveries to Turkey are scheduled to begin in 2029.
The agreement covers a total supply of 33 billion cubic meters of gas.
The second phase aims for an annual production of over 4 billion cubic meters.
Turkey will receive roughly half of the annual output to bolster regional energy security.
A final investment decision for the project is expected in 2026.
