Sun Pharmaceutical Industries subsidiaries reached a settlement agreement in the In re Generic Pharmaceuticals Pricing Antitrust Litigation. The deal resolves all claims filed in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
The agreement covers Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc., Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., and Taro Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. The subsidiaries will make a confidential payment in exchange for a full release from the claims.
Management did not disclose further terms of the settlement. The resolution removes a long-standing legal overhang concerning price-fixing allegations in the generic drug market.
