Spotify has officially launched its feature for purchasing physical books within its app for users in the U.S. and U.K.. The service is powered by a partnership with Bookshop.org, an online marketplace that supports independent bookstores, which will handle order fulfillment and inventory.
In addition to the e-commerce launch, Spotify is expanding its Page Match tool. This feature, which syncs a user's place between a physical book and its audiobook version, now supports over 30 new languages, including French, German, and Swedish. Spotify noted that users of Page Match have been streaming 55% more audiobook hours weekly compared to other listeners.
