French aerospace giant Safran has commenced operations at its new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in Hyderabad, India. The center has already inducted its first aircraft engine. This facility represents a major advancement for India's domestic aero-engine servicing capabilities.

The Hyderabad site will service the expanding fleet of LEAP engines used by airlines in India and the surrounding region. The facility currently employs more than 300 people. Safran expects to expand the workforce to approximately 1,100 employees at full capacity.

This investment is a central component of Safran's strategy to deepen its presence in India's aviation market. The facility provides local, world-class maintenance services to support the country's rapidly growing aerospace sector.
