Rolls-Royce and Reliance Industries partnered to develop an indigenous combat engine for India’s fifth-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program. The collaboration combines Rolls-Royce’s aero-engine technology with Reliance’s large-scale manufacturing and project execution capabilities.
The companies will explore establishing a comprehensive Aerospace Gas Turbine Complex in India. This facility will manage the full engine lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, testing, and long-term support.
The initiative supports India’s goal of self-reliance in critical defense technologies. It aims to build a robust domestic aerospace ecosystem.
