Rocket Lab successfully launched the VICTUS HAZE mission for the U.S. Space Force. The company set a new global record for tactically responsive space launch.
The Electron rocket lifted off 16 hours and 42 minutes after receiving the launch notice. This achievement shattered the previous record by more than 10 hours.
Rocket Lab served as the first single prime contractor to provide a complete end-to-end solution. The company managed every stage from spacecraft design and manufacturing to launch and on-orbit operations.
The mission utilized Rocket Lab’s Pioneer spacecraft. The vehicle is currently conducting Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) to simulate responses to on-orbit threats. These maneuvers demonstrate a critical new capability for national security.
