Oklo Inc. received U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) safety approval for its Aurora-INL project, allowing it to advance to final design, construction and procurement.
The approval marks a step toward commercial deployment of Oklo’s nuclear technologies. The company’s Groves Isotope Test Reactor achieved first criticality in August 2026, adding to its operational experience.
Oklo is also preparing for pre-application activities with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for a proposed campus in Ohio. A filing also disclosed insider share sales, which were described as less significant.
