Nasdaq will add Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SPCX) to the Nasdaq-100 Index before the market opens on July 7, 2026. The inclusion follows the company’s market debut on June 12, 2026.

A new Nasdaq fast-track rule expedited the addition. This rule allows massive companies to join the index just 15 trading days after an IPO. SpaceX qualified for this acceleration with a valuation exceeding $1.7 trillion.

Passive investment funds and ETFs tracking the Nasdaq-100 must now purchase SpaceX shares. This move will likely drive significant market demand for the stock. SpaceX also recently joined the FTSE Russell 1000 index.
