Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange will jointly ring the opening bell from the White House Oval Office next week. National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett announced the ceremony during a CNBC interview on June 29, 2026.
The event marks the launch of Trump Accounts, a government-backed investment program for children. The initiative officially begins on July 4, 2026.
The U.S. Treasury will provide a $1,000 seed deposit for each eligible child. Eligibility applies to children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. Parents and other contributors may add up to $5,000 annually to the tax-deferred accounts.
