Cheniere Energy completed its Corpus Christi Stage 3 project and exported its 5,000th cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The company reached this export milestone faster than any other global producer.
Engineering partner Bechtel handed over the final processing unit on August 28. The expansion finished ahead of schedule and on budget.
The project adds more than 10 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of production capacity. This expansion increases Cheniere’s total capacity by over 20%. Total company capacity now reaches approximately 56 mtpa.
