Cheniere Energy reached substantial completion of the sixth liquefaction train at its Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion in Texas.
Engineering partner Bechtel delivered Train 6 safely and ahead of schedule.
The Stage 3 project includes seven midscale trains in total.
Cheniere expects to complete the full seven-train expansion later this year.
The expansion adds more than 10 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of production capacity.
Total capacity at the Corpus Christi facility will exceed 25 mtpa upon completion.
The project increases Cheniere’s capacity to supply liquefied natural gas to global markets.
