Garmin Ltd. acquired digital training platforms TrainingPeaks and TrainHeroic on July 22, 2026. These platforms connect athletes with coaches for specialized endurance and strength training programs.
The transaction integrates 120 employees from both platforms into Garmin’s global workforce. This move strengthens the company's fitness ecosystem by adding customizable coaching and training services.
While financial terms were not disclosed, Co-Chief Operating Officer Brad Trenkle noted the acquisition expands athlete access to authentic coaching. The purchase adds a new service layer to Garmin’s portfolio in the aviation, automotive, fitness, marine, and outdoor sectors.
