OpenAI said it will make its AI models available on Google Cloud in the coming weeks, broadening its reach beyond its close ties with Microsoft. Google Cloud customers will be able to access models including GPT-6 Astra and OpenAI’s Codex coding tool through Vertex AI Model Garden and the Antigravity coding tool.
The move will make OpenAI’s technology available across all three major U.S. cloud providers, following a similar launch on Amazon Web Services. For Google, the partnership supports its strategy of offering a wide range of third-party models on its cloud platform.
Enterprise customers will be able to use existing Google Cloud spending commitments to buy and use OpenAI’s models, lowering the barrier to adoption.
