Google’s DeepMind has released the AlphaGenome Atlas, a 1-petabyte dataset. The platform predicts the molecular effects of 9 billion possible single-letter DNA changes.

DeepMind uses the AlphaGenome AI model to pre-calculate these genetic impacts for academic researchers. This tool aims to accelerate the understanding of how genetic mutations influence human biology and disease.

Google also introduced the AlphaGenome Variant Impact (AVI) score to simplify the database. This metric condenses complex predictions into a single number to help scientists prioritize variants for rare disease research.
