Google has agreed to provide a credit backstop for debt financing tied to approximately $19 billion in Anthropic lease commitments at TeraWulf’s Justified Data Campus in Kentucky. TeraWulf announced the agreement. Google will guarantee a portion of Anthropic’s obligations, strengthening the project’s financial profile and helping TeraWulf secure more competitive long-term debt.

The agreement deepens the relationship between Google, an Anthropic investor, and the AI firm, a major competitor to OpenAI. It also highlights the enormous investment required to build infrastructure for large-scale AI development.

TeraWulf also finalized an agreement with Fluor Enterprises to manage engineering, procurement, and construction for three data center buildings. Phased completions are expected to begin in late 2027.
