Anthropic is expanding its London operations with a new office designed for 800 people. This capacity marks a significant increase from the company's current headcount of over 200.
The move follows OpenAI’s recent establishment of a permanent London office. Anthropic will locate the facility in London’s Knowledge Quarter near Google DeepMind and Meta.
The expansion targets the U.K. as a primary research and business hub outside the United States. Management cited the region's strong talent pool and focus on AI safety as key drivers for the investment.
