BYD launches two new plug-in hybrid models this week. Both vehicles feature fifth-generation DM technology. The Sealion 06 DM-i goes on sale May 26, followed by the Song Ultra DM-i on May 28.

The Song Ultra offers a pure electric range of up to 310 km. BYD will also detail its God’s Eye assisted-driving systems at an intelligent-driving strategy event on May 28.

The company currently faces potential battery supply constraints for flash-charge models due to high demand. These launches highlight BYD's effort to maintain its competitive edge in the new energy vehicle market.
