BYD will begin operations at its new energy vehicle assembly plant in Sindh, Pakistan, during the fourth quarter of 2026. This purpose-built facility represents a $150 million investment. Construction on the site was completed in under 18 months. The plant will maintain an annual production capacity of approximately 25,000 vehicles.
The facility will undergo equipment validation and production trials before full-scale manufacturing begins. Quality testing will ensure the plant adheres to global standards.
This expansion supports BYD’s strategy to increase its global footprint and prioritize overseas sales. The company is leveraging international growth to offset declining sales within the Chinese market.
