Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) reported a 4.2% decline in total vehicle deliveries for the first half of 2026. The company sold approximately 1.15 million vehicles worldwide during this period.

A significant downturn in China drove the overall sales dip. Sales in the Chinese market dropped by 20% in the first half of the year. This decline accelerated to 30% during the second quarter.

Western markets showed resilience with positive growth. Sales in Europe rose by 5.4%. The U.S. market recorded a 3.9% increase.

Electric vehicle demand provided momentum, particularly for the Neue Klasse models. Global sales of fully-electric BMW and MINI models increased by 5.2% in the second quarter. European EV sales surged by 38% during the same period. The BMW iX3 is currently on track to reach 100,000 new orders.
