Amazon has partnered with Uber Eats to offer new restaurant delivery benefits to Prime members in the United States, replacing its previous arrangement with Grubhub. Prime subscribers will receive $0 delivery fees on eligible Uber Eats orders over $25 placed through Amazon.com or the Amazon Shopping app. Members can use their existing Amazon accounts without signing up for Uber Eats separately.

The deal gives Uber direct access to Amazon’s extensive Prime customer base and strengthens its position against rival DoorDash. It is a setback for Grubhub and its parent company, Just Eat Takeaway.com, whose partnership with Amazon had provided Prime benefits since 2022. Under the previous partnership, Amazon received warrants to acquire a stake in Grubhub.
