SAS is negotiating a potential order for 15 to 20 widebody aircraft with Airbus. The deal includes a combination of A350 and A330neo models. Deliveries are expected to begin early in the next decade.
This agreement represents the carrier's largest long-haul fleet investment since completing its Chapter 11 restructuring. SAS emerged from bankruptcy protection in 2024 under a new ownership group led by Air France-KLM.
The airline intends to use the new jets to renew and expand its existing long-haul operations. Bloomberg first reported the discussions, noting that the order would maintain SAS's current reliance on Airbus fleet commonality.
