Airbus secured orders for 95 aircraft from three Chinese carriers. The deals carry a combined list price of approximately $17.8 billion. Filings with the Shanghai Stock Exchange disclosed the agreements on Friday.
Air China ordered 15 A350-900 wide-body jets. Its subsidiary, Shenzhen Airlines, requested 40 A320neo-family narrow-body aircraft. Hainan Airlines agreed to purchase 40 A320neo-family jets. Deliveries are scheduled to occur between 2028 and 2032.
The agreements strengthen Airbus's position in China, the world's second-largest aviation market. Local carriers are modernizing fleets with fuel-efficient models. Actual transaction prices typically fall below list prices due to standard volume discounts.
