Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury confirmed delays to the A320-family production ramp-up. Faury attributed the setback to engine shortages from supplier Pratt & Whitney.

The supplier's delivery failures negatively impact the 2026 delivery guidance. Airbus previously aimed to produce 75 A320-family jets per month by 2026.

The company later moved this target to 2027, though that timeline is now uncertain. Engine shortages will limit total annual deliveries to approximately 870 commercial aircraft.
