Ahold Delhaize is recovering from a cyberattack first detected on October 12, 2026. As a precaution, the company shut down various IT systems across its US and European brands. The attack affected online services, including websites and apps for Food Lion, Stop & Shop, and Albert Heijn, but all physical stores remained open.

As of October 22, the company said it had made progress restoring systems. Services are returning brand by brand, but restoration is ongoing, particularly for US e-commerce.

Ahold Delhaize said there is currently no evidence that sensitive customer data was compromised in the attack.
