The U.S. International Trade Commission ruled in favor of Apple on Friday. The tribunal dismissed a request from medical technology firm Masimo to reinstate an import ban on specific Apple Watch models.

The decision upholds a finding that Apple’s redesigned blood-oxygen technology does not infringe on Masimo's patents. This ruling removes the threat of sales disruptions for one of Apple’s primary wearable products.

The long-standing legal dispute previously triggered a temporary import ban on certain models. Markets showed no immediate reaction as the announcement followed Friday’s close.
