A sixth labor union is forming at Samsung Electronics after organizers submitted a registration filing to authorities on November 4. The group is reportedly named the Samsung Electronics Union Shop Labor Union and is led by former executives from two existing company unions.

The move follows escalating conflict among the unions, particularly between those representing the Device Solutions (DS) semiconductor division and the Device eXperience (DX) consumer products division. Disagreements over performance bonus distribution and negotiation strategies have fueled tensions.

The new union is expected to further reshape labor dynamics ahead of future wage talks.
