Ripple obtained full authorization as a Crypto Asset Service Provider from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. This license confirms Ripple’s compliance with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.
The approval permits Ripple to provide regulated crypto payment services across the 30-country European Economic Area. This single license allows the company to serve financial institutions and businesses throughout the region.
This milestone follows a preliminary authorization granted in June. Ripple becomes one of the first crypto firms to achieve full licensing as the MiCA era begins.
The price of XRP showed minimal immediate reaction to the announcement.
