Amazon launched its less-than-truckload (LTL) freight service for all businesses, expanding its Supply Chain Services division. The service previously limited shipments to Amazon’s internal warehouse network. Businesses can now ship pallets to any destination, including private facilities, distribution centers, and retail partners.

This move positions Amazon to compete directly with logistics giants FedEx and UPS. The platform offers real-time GPS tracking and flexible pickup options. The service targets smaller shipments ranging from one to six pallets.

Amazon leverages an existing network of over 80,000 trailers. The company also utilizes 24,000 intermodal containers. This strategy seeks to lower business costs while diversifying revenue beyond retail.
