RTX is investing $100 million in its Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Raytheon facility. This capital will accelerate testing and production for critical air and missile defense systems.

The expansion supports the U.S. Army’s Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS). The site will also increase manufacturing output for Patriot GEM-T missile subcomponents to meet rising global demand.

This move follows a $115 million expansion at the Redstone Missile Integration Facility in Alabama. Analysts view these investments as a strategy to convert high order visibility into increased production.
