NASA Solicits X-Plane Proposals, Targeting Flight Tests Within Three Years

NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate is soliciting proposals for new experimental X-planes. Administrator Jared Isaacman directed the initiative to accelerate transformative airframe and propulsion technologies.

The initiative will drive competition among prime contractors within the SPDR S&P Aerospace & Defense ETF (XAR). These firms will vie for contracts to design and build the next generation of demonstrator aircraft.
