The U.S. Department of Defense finalized a $4.7 billion firm-fixed-price contract with Lockheed Martin. This agreement funds the production of PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptors.

The award enables Lockheed Martin to deliver a record number of interceptors to the U.S. Army and allied nations. This initiative aims to increase inventory and strengthen military readiness against evolving threats.

The contract runs through June 2030. It comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions, including the U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

The PAC-3 MSE intercepts advanced tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft. This investment highlights the growing demand for defense capabilities within the aerospace sector.
