Lockheed Martin secured two contract modifications totaling approximately $868 million. The U.S. Department of War announced the awards on April 15, 2026.

The primary award provides $850.4 million for the TRIDENT II (D5) missile Life Extension 2 program. This system remains a cornerstone of the U.S. nuclear deterrent.

The contract supports advanced design and development for the submarine-launched ballistic missile system. Work is scheduled for completion by September 2030.

A second $17.5 million modification funds material kits and special tooling for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. This procurement serves the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, and international partners.

These agreements underscore continued government investment in strategic weapons and advanced fighter programs.
