Vista Energy formally applied to include its $5.8 billion Bandurria Norte project in Argentina’s Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI). This development targets the Vaca Muerta shale play in an area where the company currently has no active production.

The development plan involves drilling 332 new wells. Vista aims to reach a production capacity of approximately 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

The investment includes the construction of processing facilities, a compressor plant, and new pipelines. Inclusion in the RIGI program would grant Vista tax, customs, and foreign exchange benefits for 30 years. This move establishes a major operational hub for Vista outside of its primary assets.
