Visa transitioned its stablecoin settlement pilot into commercial production. The system enables businesses to use USDC for real-time prefunding of cross-border payments through Visa Direct.

The initiative launched in partnership with payments infrastructure firm Inyo Global. This service facilitates international money movement across more than 180 countries.

Visa now treats stablecoin settlement as a production-grade system rather than an experimental project. The launch follows a reported 15x increase in Visa’s stablecoin transaction volume.

Stablecoin transactions on the network have reached a $20 billion annual run rate. This growth reflects increasing enterprise adoption of digital currencies for global payments.
