Energy Fuels Inc. announced its terbium (Tb) oxide is qualified for use by a major Japanese manufacturer of rare earth permanent magnets. This manufacturer ranks among the world's largest producers outside of China.

The Japan-based firm confirmed terbium oxide from the White Mesa Mill in Utah meets all specifications. It approved the material for commercial use without further validation.

This approval allows Energy Fuels to produce the full suite of light and heavy rare earth oxides. These materials are essential for high-performance magnets used in electric vehicles, electronics, and defense systems.

Terbium is a valuable heavy rare earth element that increases magnet heat resistance. The customer previously qualified the company's neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) and dysprosium (Dy) oxides.
