Energy Fuels Inc. started construction on its White Mesa Mill expansion in Utah. The facility will enable commercial-scale production of heavy rare earth oxides.
The project aims to establish a fully integrated mine-to-magnet supply chain within the United States. This expansion costs approximately $104 million.
U.S. government grants and loans will fund a significant portion of the budget. New circuits will produce key heavy rare earths, including terbium and dysprosium.
Completion is expected by the end of 2027. The mill will process materials from the company's Australian joint venture to address North American and European supply bottlenecks.
