Ur-Energy Inc. received final authorization from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality on June 29, 2026. This approval permits full-scale in situ recovery operations at the Shirley Basin Project.
The company will now transport uranium-loaded resin from Shirley Basin to its Lost Creek facility for final processing. Ur-Energy has operated the site at limited capacity since April 2026.
The project has already loaded approximately 10,500 pounds of uranium onto resin. Wellfield flow rates will increase to full commercial levels immediately. Resin shipments are scheduled to begin within the coming weeks.
Management expects to improve capital efficiency by utilizing the existing Lost Creek processing plant. This expansion scales the company's overall uranium production within the United States.
