United Parcel Service (UPS) announced significant changes to its executive leadership team and a new global operating model, effective September 1, 2026. The restructuring follows the retirement of Kate Gutmann, EVP and President of International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions. The company also disclosed $9 million in retention awards for key executives.

  • Executive Retirement & Succession: Kate Gutmann will retire from her current role effective September 1, 2026. She will be succeeded by Wilfredo Ramos, who has been appointed EVP and Chief International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions Officer.
  • Leadership Reorganization: Nando Cesarone, formerly President U.S., will become EVP and Chief Global Operations Officer. A new role of EVP and Chief Global Commercial Strategy Officer is also being created.
  • Executive Retention Awards: UPS is granting restricted stock unit (RSU) awards valued at $6.0 million to Nando Cesarone and $3.0 million to Bala Subramanian. The awards will vest in three tranches on September 1, 2027 (25%), 2028 (25%), and 2029 (50%).
