Sarfraz Maredia, Uber's head of autonomous mobility and delivery, is set to leave on November 16 after more than 12 years at the company. He is reportedly taking a senior executive role at a company in an unrelated industry. His departure is the latest in a series of executive exits from Uber's autonomous unit in 2026.

Long-tenured Uber directors Samarth Kejriwal and Aaron Emrich will divide Maredia's duties. Uber continues to invest in commercializing self-driving technology through partnerships, despite setbacks including the end of collaborations with Waymo and Serve Robotics.
