Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is integrating NVIDIA’s AI and accelerated computing platforms into its design and manufacturing processes. The companies announced the collaboration at GTC Taipei to improve speed, efficiency, and yield for advanced chips.

TSMC will adopt NVIDIA cuLitho, a GPU-accelerated computational lithography platform. This technology targets a 20% to 50% improvement in cycle time and cost-effectiveness compared to current CPU-based methods.

The partnership also includes NVIDIA Metropolis for AI-powered defect inspection. Additionally, TSMC will use NVIDIA Omniverse to create digital twins of its fabs to optimize layouts and workflows.
