AMD will increase prices for GPUs, AI accelerators, and motherboard chipsets by approximately 10%. These adjustments are scheduled to take effect in the fourth quarter of 2026. The move follows TSMC’s notification to major clients of wafer price hikes ranging from 5% to 10%. These increases specifically target advanced sub-5nm processes.

TSMC implemented the price adjustments to fund advanced-node manufacturing expansion. The company also aims to offset rising construction costs for new fabrication plants. These broad-based increases affect both advanced and mature nodes to manage capital expenditures.

Nvidia, Apple, and Qualcomm also face these manufacturing cost increases. While AMD has not confirmed price hikes for Ryzen CPUs, the company’s reliance on TSMC makes them likely candidates for future adjustments. TSMC’s stock recently drove a significant rebound in the Taiwanese stock market.
