First Eagle Investment Management significantly increased its position in Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), buying approximately 3.59 million shares during the second quarter of 2026. According to its quarterly 13F disclosure, a filing that reveals positions held weeks after the fact, the purchase boosted its total holdings by 92% to 7.49 million shares, valued at $3.58 billion as of June 30.
In its quarterly commentary, First Eagle noted that TSM was a leading contributor to fund performance. The firm highlighted that TSM shares were strong during the quarter as soaring demand for AI and high-performance computing chips was met with constrained supply. TSM's own Q2 results confirmed this trend, with revenue at the high end of guidance and a raised growth outlook for the full year, driven by exceptionally strong AI-related demand.
