Tesla's new vehicle registrations in Europe surged in May, signaling a strong recovery in the region. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), registrations across the EU, UK, and EFTA countries reached 28,610 units, a 107.9% increase compared to the same month last year. In the European Union alone, Tesla's sales grew by 152.4% to 21,767 vehicles.

This marks the fourth consecutive month of growth for Tesla in Europe, with its market share in the EU, EFTA, and UK region climbing to 2.5% from 1.2% a year prior. The impressive performance significantly outpaced the overall European passenger car market, which grew by 3.6%. However, the company faces intensifying competition, particularly from Chinese automakers like BYD, which surpassed Tesla's sales in the EU during May.
