Tesla said it has begun producing its Optimus humanoid robot at its factory in Fremont, California, as part of its third-quarter 2026 update. The company is positioning robotics and artificial intelligence as key drivers of future growth.
Quarterly revenue was flat at approximately $28.05 billion. GAAP net income fell 43% year over year to $787 million.
Operating expenses surged 39% as Tesla accelerated spending on artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and the Optimus initiative.
